Before smoke...
On our recent OBX family vacation, we stayed on the Pamlico Sound...it's simply beautiful and peaceful. Unfortunately, wildfires ravaged Hyde County (inland) and the second photo shows some of the smoke that kept us indoors. Fortunately, when the wind shifted direction, it took the smoke with it.
